As we head into August (when did that happen!) we thought we’d ruminate on what’s been going on. A high summer seasonal check in of sorts. The weather has been glorious and we’ve been enjoying getting out for a swim in the sea at the weekends. We’ve been re-open just under a month now which we can’t quite believe and we are all adjusting to the new ways of the high street. It has been nice catching up with old and new customers as we take each day as it comes.

It still feels strange to think there will be no Olympics to watch over the coming weeks which is always a great addition to any summer. The nostalgic set in after a recent conversation about London 2012, remembering how much buzz there was around the whole country and it felt like one big party. Fingers crossed it will be good to go next year and it doesn’t stop us imagining what it would be like to win a gold medal.

We’ve also ventured out to a few favourite local pubs either for a takeaway pint or enjoying a cold glass of something nice in a sunny spot. It’s great to see our locals and independents re-opening after the last four months. Naturally as a small independent businesses, we love to champion other indies and buying a pint is one of the easiest ways to do so. One of the oldest pubs in Chichester is opposite the shop and we have the amazing Purchases next door, both been offering a cool refreshing drink to those visiting the city.  It’s been great to see a little, socially distanced hustle and bustle on the high street again.

So all in all, it’s been an A-okay last few weeks and as we creep into a new normal and way of things, we hope to see more of you as time goes on. Stay safe and Happy Summer!
