We all know that the mass production of clothes and homewares isn't a sustainable option for our lovely planet but often the alternatives aren't always as obvious, which is why stocking fair trade products is so important to us.

"Fair trade is an arrangement designed to help producers in developing countries achieve sustainable and equitable trade relationships."

Not only a better choice for the planet but when buying fair trade we are helping those communities build a future and preserve traditional skills. There's a whole lot of good to be dome from buying fair trade.

Here's a little introduction to some of the items we have in our shop, we also have a fair trade collection page on the website, to make it easy for you to find these gorgeous products.

Starting with the little things, this simple stoneware candleholder, is perfect for adding some candlelight to your evenings. Made in a pottery workshop in Nepal run by three brothers.

The same pottery also produces these amazing mini mugs, which can be used for your morning espresso, to hold a tasty dip when entertaining and even work for chubbier candles.

Another of our favourites from our fair trade collection are these colourful rainbow cushions. Made with a traditional Mayan weaving technique and inspired by the patterns and colours of the Mayans own costumes, these textiles create valuable jobs in the highlands of Guatemala. We're proud to be able to keep these skills alive in the modern world.

Lastly, we all love a great tote bag don't we? This large sturdy shopping bag is handmade in Bangladesh using traditional artisan weaving skills through a fairtrade organisation. The easy relaxed style & practicality of this bag is hard to resist.
